Product Overview

The SN74ALS533ADW from Texas Instruments is a high-performance octal D-type transparent latch with 3-state outputs. It is designed for use in bus-oriented systems where data must be latched and held while the bus is used for other operations. The device features an 8-bit latch with a latch enable (LE) input and an output enable (OE) input. When LE is high, the Q outputs follow the data (D) inputs. When LE is low, the Q outputs are latched to the data that was present at the D inputs at the time LE transitioned low. The OE input, when high, places the outputs in a high-impedance state, allowing for bus sharing. The device is fabricated using advanced Schottky barrier diode technology for high speed and low power consumption.
